The Kindergarten classes from Virgin Valley Elementary School had a wonderful field trip to Hafen’s Ranch on Tuesday, April 12.

Beautiful weather started the day off perfectly. The students enjoyed a wagon ride into the ranch and lots of fun activities when they arrived there.

Some of the highlights included seeing and petting baby chicks, baby ducks, baby turkeys, baby kittens, baby rabbits and baby goats. They also got to see many cows grazing in the fields. They were even able to watch feeding time for the cows.

One of the most memorable activities was the horse rides. Each child was able to take a ride on a horse, which most students had never had the opportunity to do until this day.

The Hafens also provided a craft for the kids. Each child made a nice hat shaped like a farm animal which they got to take home.

The students also got to enjoy the natural wildlife surrounding the ranch.

The field trip made great memories to all who participated. Tilman and Jennifer Hafen were the gracious hosts. We are thankful to all who helped. It is great to have this opportunity and hospitality right here in our community.
