Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 135 total incidents in the blotter:

April 11:
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer responded to a suspicious call at a Kitty Hawk Dr. apartment complex. A report was taken and officers are attempting to locate individuals involved.
Truancy: Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Mesquite Officer responded to Valley View Dr. school reference property damage. The person was cited for property damage and released to the parents.
Citizen Assist:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a citizen assist.
Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a First North St. apartment complex where a male was found trespassing.
Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Citizen Dispute: Officer responded to a Sandhill Blvd. convenience store on a report of threats made. Officer determined that a citizen dispute had occurred and incident was created for information only.
Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.

Hit & Run:  Officer responded to the hospital on a report of a hit and run.  Officer spoke with the victim and obtained all necessary information.
Citizen Assist:  Officer responded to an Apple Tree Ln. residence regarding identity theft.  Officer determined the crime occurred in Las Vegas.  Officer completed a courtesy report which will be forwarded to LVMPD.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle:  Officers responded to a local casino after it was reported by an outside agency that a stolen vehicle was in the parking lot.

April 12:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officer was conducting patrol of the parks on Lower Flattop Mesa Dr. when he observed three individuals parked in the dark. Upon investigation, two of the individuals were smoking marijuana. They were in possession of small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They were cited and released.
Theft from Vehicle:  Officer responded to a report of a vehicle burglary, there is no suspect information at this time.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. business in reference to a suspicious person. After an investigation two adult arrests were made.
Burglary:  Officers responded to a report of vandalism at a vacant home on Jackrabbit St., the investigation is ongoing.
April 13:

Theft: A report was taken for a generator stolen out of the back of a work truck.
Truancy: Mesquite Officer responded to a W. Hafen Ln. school reference a truant student.
Theft:  Citizen reported her prescription pain medication was missing.

April 14:

Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.
Fraud:  Officer responded to a report of attempted fraud at a W. Pioneer Blvd. bank. Officer took the report and collected evidence. Investigation is ongoing.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers were dispatched to a Mesa Blvd. residence, in reference to a domestic situation. No crime was committed.
Welfare Check: Officer responded to a parking lot of a business on W. Pioneer Blvd. reference a welfare check. Contact was made with an adult female and she refused medical attention. No crime was observed and an information report was completed.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers were dispatched to a W. Pioneer Blvd. grocery store parking lot, in reference to a suspicious vehicle, with two adult male subjects sleeping in it.  Both adult subjects were later arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.  One of the adult subjects was also arrested for possession of a drug not introduced into Interstate Commerce.

April 15:

Theft from Vehicle: An Officer investigated a report of thefts from two motor vehicles on W. Mesquite Blvd., a report was taken; No witnesses or suspects.
Wanted person: Officer encountered a male subject with an active warrant. The subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center for booking.
Civil Dispute:  Officers responded to a Sun Valley Dr. Residence on a verbal dispute. The investigation revealed a domestic battery had occurred. The primary physical aggressor was arrested.
Found Property: An Officer responded to Calais Drive reference a found bicycle.
Intoxicated Person: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino, in reference to multiple intoxicated people causing a disturbance.  These people were trespassed from the casino property.

April 16:

Theft: Officers responded to a theft at a local apartment building, there is limited suspect information, the investigation is ongoing.
Domestic Violence IP: Officer responded to a verbal dispute at an apartment complex on Pulsipher Ln. The subjects decided to separate for the day.
Fraud: Officer responded to a local bank regarding a subject attempting to cash a fraudulent check.  Officers gathered all viable information and the incident will be investigated by the banks fraud department.
Theft: Officer responded to a local business regarding a theft of merchandise.  Officer was informed the theft occurred the previous day and there was no suspect information available.  Officer collected video surveillance and a report was taken.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Report taken for a property damage accident. Driver received several traffic citations.
Driving Under the influence: An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver. After contacting a witness, the driver was identified and arrested for driving under the influence.
