March 1894 – Settlers begin to work on the settlement of Mesquite Flats again

March 1931 – Gambling legalized in the state of Nevada

March 1944 – Rock hospital opens. Served as a medical facility for Mesquite and the surrounding area until 1977. Bertha Howe was the nurse in charge for the whole time that it was a medical facility. There were 28 babies born in the building and one curbside delivery.

March 1914 – A telephone line goes through to Moapa
