Dutch Oven Breakfast Demonstration

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Mesquite, NV – On Saturday, March 12, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum, in conjunction with Denene Torgenson, will present a demonstration on how to cook breakfast, cinnamon rolls and other goodies in a Dutch oven. The demonstration is free and open to the public.

Torgenson will be using a Dutch oven designed by her father, Dent Sorensen. It is cast in either aluminum or iron and uses a central cone to allow hot air inside the oven. Come and get acquainted with a modern spin on an old cooking method used here in the Valley.

That same day, the Art Gallery will be hosting their annual Art in the Yard Sale.

Denene Torgenson is the owner of DDT/RV Supplies, located at the Brickyard. She moved to Mesquite in June 2015 from Utah. Denene is the mother of three children.
