Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 151 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 21:
Driving Under the Influence:  Officers conducted a traffic stop on Pioneer Blvd and Turtleback Rd. and found the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI.
Fraud:  Officers responded to a Pioneer Blvd. hotel reference a fraud. Officers were unable to locate the suspects. A report was taken.
Wanted Person:  An Officer responded to a noise complaint on Moss Dr..  Upon making contact with a male; the male had a traffic warrant.  The male was arrested for the warrant.
Juvenile Problem:  An officer responded to the police department lobby in reference to a juvenile problem.
Assault IP:  Officers responded to a Pheasant Dr. residence for a report of battery. Upon investigation it was discovered a male had pushed his ex-girlfriend during exchanging custody of their child.
Feb. 22:
Graffiti:  Officers responded to a report of graffiti.  All graffiti markings were documented, then painted over.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a non-injury two vehicle accident at the intersection Mesquite Boulevard and Riverside Road.  One adult female was cited.
Stolen Vehicle:  Officer responded to a Hillside Dr. park on a report of a stolen trailer.
Robbery:  Officers responded to a robbery in progress at Dollar General.  Upon arrival officers attempted to locate a male suspect who fled the scene on a bicycle. The investigation continues.
Burglary:  An Officer responded to a Royal Flush Ct. residence for a reported burglary. The residence had been illegally entered and several items stolen. A report was taken and the crime is being investigated.
Intoxicated Person:  Officers responded to an intoxication call at a Mesa Blvd. apartment complex.  The intoxicated male was arrested for Intoxicated pedestrian in Roadway and Resisting arrest.
Theft:  An Officer took a report of the theft and use of a credit card. Information concerning the theft was obtained and is being investigated.
Sexual Assault:  Officer responded to the hospital for a reported sexual assault, reported by hospital staff. The involved person did not want to file a Police report.
Vandalism:  Officers responded to a call of 2 people vandalizing, two suspects were transported and booked into jail.
Stolen Vehicle:  Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officer took the report and obtained surveillance footage of the incident. Investigation is ongoing.
Theft:  An officer responded to an E. Mesquite Blvd. restaurant in reference to a theft.
Suicidal Person:  Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence in reference to a possible suicidal person.
Stolen Vehicle:  Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd.  casino for a report of stolen vehicle. Officer took the report and obtained surveillance footage of the incident. Investigation is ongoing.
Suicidal Person:  Officers responded to a Rivers Bend Dr. residence in reference to a possible suicidal person.
Feb. 23:
Civil Dispute:  Officer responded to a Royal Flush Ct. Residence reference a verbal dispute. At the conclusion of the investigation the parties went their separate ways.
Theft:  An Officer responded to assist a citizen with a stolen credit card on Whitey Lee Ln.  A report was taken and forwarded to Detectives for further follow up.
Feb. 24:

Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. residence reference a domestic dispute between the reporting party and her aunt. Officers were able to separate the parties and come to a resolution that both parties agreed to. No violence or threats occurred.
Lost Property:  Officers were dispatched to a Valley View Dr. business for a report of lost property.
Stolen Property:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. parking lot reference stolen property. Information was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a report of a traffic accident on W. Mesquite Blvd.  A report was taken.
Animal Bite:  An officer was dispatched to a local hospital, in reference to a dog bite call. An information report was completed.
Traffic Problem:  An officer took a report for a private property traffic accident on Hardy Way.
Feb. 25:
Noise Disturbance:  Officers were dispatched to a Pulsipher Ln. residence, in reference to a noise call, which the reporting person described as people arguing. Upon investigation officers determined no crime had occurred.
Fraud:  A resident reported a fraudulent check he was given while attempting to sell his truck. The resident recognized the transaction as a scam and reported it to police. There is no offender information and the resident did not complete the transaction.
Controlled Substance Problem:  Officers were dispatched to Valley View Dr. school reference marijuana found off sight.
Controlled Substance Problem:  Officers conducted a welfare check on Riverside Rd. resulting in a drug paraphernalia arrest.
Citizen Assist:  An officer responded to a Pioneer Blvd. rehabilitation center for a report of a burglary. There is no offender information at this time.
Wanted Person:   An officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Mesquite Blvd.   A wants check revealed the driver has an arrest warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. The warrant was confirmed and the driver was taken into custody and transported to the city detention center and booked.
Feb. 26:
Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  A report was taken for graffiti on the underside of a bridge on Riverside Dr. Photographs were taken and the graffiti was quickly covered up. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft:  Report taken for lost or stolen credit card. The complainant was provided an incident number as requested by the complainant’s local bank.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to the parking lot of a local business on W. Pioneer Blvd. on a report of possible domestic violence. Officers arrived and separated both parties. After interviewing the involved parties, officers learned that the female had a warrant for her arrest. The female was arrested for the warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trespassing IP:  An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd.  casino, in reference to a trespass violator.  An adult male subject was later arrested for trespassing.
Controlled Substance Problem:  An officer was dispatched to a W. Mesquite Blvd. motel, in reference to a domestic situation.  An adult female subject was arrested for four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Feb. 27:
Suicidal Person:  An officer was dispatched to a Pheasant Dr. residence, in reference to an adult female suicidal subject.  It was later determined to be a verbal dispute and the adult female subject denied being suicidal.
Agency Assistance:  A runaway male juvenile was reported to be in the city of Mesquite. The male was located on Mesa Blvd. and taken back into custody and released to the proper authorities.
Citizen Assist:  Officer was dispatched to the police department to retrieve information from a citizen.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries:  Officers responded to East Pioneer Blvd near the intersection of Oasis for a report of a single vehicle accident. Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the accident and the driver. The female driver appeared to have had a medical episode causing the crash.
Identification Check:  Officers responded to an ID check at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. Upon arrival officers learned the male subject had fled the area. Officers located the male as he fled from security. The subject refused to stop at officers commands but was eventually taken into custody. The subject was booked on charges of obstructing an officer and resisting an officer.
Theft:  An officer was dispatched to a Sandhill Blvd. store, in reference to a theft. A report was completed and the investigation is ongoing.
Theft:  Officers responded to a Pioneer Blvd. business reference theft. An information report completed.
