Representatives from Senator Dean Heller’s offices were in Mesquite Monday, March 21 at the Veterans Center, 840 Hafen Ln., to discuss issues that affect local veterans. From left to right are Scarlet Doyle, Legislative Assistant from Washington, D.C.; Stephen Sifuentes, Regional Representative; and Ryan Dutiel, a Veterans Association Caseworker. The trio fielded questions and comments from about a dozen residents on topics from health coverage to veterans’ cemeteries. They also plan to improve the communication between Sen. Heller’s office and Mesquite’s veterans. Photo by Stephanie Frehner.

Heller had announced he was going to be there and the President took him to Cuba. Pity they weren’t able to ask him directly about his anti-veterans votes.
