Blotter Report Feb. 7-13, 2016
Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 121 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 7:
Wanted Person:  An Officer conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Dr.  and discovered the driver to have an active Mesquite Municipal Court warrant. Male was taken into custody without incident.
Feb. 8:
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers were flagged over by citizens on Sandhill Blvd. who reported a traffic accident. No injuries were reported, one driver was cited for a traffic violation.
Controlled Substance Problem:  Officer responded to a local supermarket on Sandhill Blvd. reference a suspicious male in the parking lot. At the conclusion of the investigation the male received a citation for possession of marijuana and was released with a court date.
Fraud:  An officer took a report from a Mesa Blvd. address for the fraudulent use of a Social Security debit card. Information was received and report taken.
Theft:  An officer took a report of the theft of prescription pills from a Mesa Blvd. address.
Vandalism:  An officer responded to the area of the community college for a report of Vandalism/Property Damage. A Police report was taken.
Theft:  Officer responded to a local store on W. Pioneer Blvd. for a report of a theft. Video surveillance was obtained of the suspects and investigation is ongoing.
Wanted Person:  An officer responded to the detention center lobby in reference to a wanted person.
Feb. 9:
Dead Body:  Officers responded to a local hotel on E. Pioneer Blvd. where a person was found deceased due to natural causes.
Lost Property:  An officer responded and took a report of a lost wallet on Redd Hills Pkwy and Fountain View Ln.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a Riverside Rd. residence for a domestic dispute. Officers found a physical altercation had occurred and one party was taken into custody.
Feb. 10:
Theft:  An officer responded to a local Sidewinder Dr. business for a report of a theft. Officers collected evidence and photographs of the alleged offender. The investigation is ongoing.
Fraud:  An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Station for a report of identity theft. There is no suspect information or leads.
Feb. 11:
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a private property crash without injuries in a parking lot of a local business on N. Sandhill Blvd.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  An officer responded to a local business in reference to a traffic accident without injuries that occurred in the parking lot of a N. Sandhill Dr. address.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Citizen reported an unknown persons had contacted her bank and attempted to obtain her account information. Citizen requested a report.
Probation Violation:  Officers responded to W. Mesquite Blvd. address and assisted Nevada Parole and Probation with an investigation.
Lost Property: A report was taken at a Hermosa Way address in reference to a lost purse.
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record:  Officers responded for a report of an unlicensed solicitor on Osprey St. Officers contacted one male subject and confirmed he did not have the proper licensing. The male was issued a citation and released.
Battery on Person:  Officers completed a report in reference to a juvenile female who was poked on her hand by another juvenile with a pencil while at a school located on Hafen Ln.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officers arrested an adult female on Mesa Blvd. who had a misdemeanor warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.
Feb. 12:
Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers responded to a Gazlay Ct. residence on a report of possible domestic violence. Both parties were interviewed and officers learned there was no violence or threats of violence between the involved parties.
Reckless Driver:  Citizen wanted to file a report regarding reckless driving in the Arizona Gorge. A report was taken.
Weapon Offense IP:  Officers conducted an investigation into an incident involving a felony assault with a weapon. There were no reported injuries. Officers were able to identify the male offender and an arrest warrant will be issued.
Person On Foot:  Officers conducted an investigative stop at a E. Mesquite Blvd and N. Willow St. location on a suspicious male. Upon further investigation the male was arrested a male for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Feb. 13:
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a local apartment complex on Mesa Blvd. in reference to a complaint of noise coming from within one of the units. Officers determined the incident was domestic related. One female was arrested for domestic battery.
