January 1993 — Mesquite Farmstead Water Association General Manager Rick Hafen left the association to devote more time to his law practice. Michael Winters of West Jordan, Utah, accepted the position of general manager.

Jan. 7, 1916 — Work began on the Bunkerville bridge.

Jan. 2, 1909 — “Ten Nights in a Bar Room” was put on stage here during the holidays. The players did very well; they also played in Bunkerville.

Jan. 7, 1909 — District school teachers delay from arriving in the Virgin Valley due to flooding and wash outs all over the country.
