Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 150 total incidents in the blotter:

Jan. 17:
Identification Check:  Officers responded to a local casino reference a minor gambling. Officers cited and released a male for minor gambling.
Minor Possessing/Consuming:  Officers responded to a local casino on a minor in possession of alcohol. One adult male was trespassed and booked into jail.
Person On Foot:  Officer observed an intoxicated male walking in the roadway and jaywalking. The male resisted officer’s commands and was arrested.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries:  Officer responded to a local residence, for a report of a vehicle striking a parked vehicle and then driving into the outside garage wall of a residence. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Citation was issued and an accident report completed.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Police responded to a non-injury traffic accident. One adult male was issued a citation and released.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An Officer took a report from a female who said she was kidnapped from her vehicle. The Mesquite Investigative Services Division is investigating the report.
Suspicious/Veh:  Juveniles found loitering after curfew. They were given a warning and released to a guardian.
Jan. 18:
Theft:  An Officer responded to a report of the theft of fuel. Information was received and a report completed.
Civil Dispute:  Police responded to a verbal dispute at a residence. Both parties agreed to separate for the day to calm down.
Theft:  An Officer responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. A female suspect was identified and issued a citation for petit larceny.
Person On Foot:   An officer stopped a pedestrian for jaywalking, the adult male was arrested for an active Mesquite Municipal Court Warrant.
Traffic Stop:  An officer conducted a traffic stop and investigation of a possible warrant.
Jan. 19:
Agency Assistance:  Officers were requested to assist an outside agency.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An Officer took a telephone report of credit card fraud. Information was received and the fraud is being investigated.
Fraud:  Officers responded to a local business reference an attempt to fraudulently rent a home.
Fraud: An Officer took a report of fraud, concerning a fraudulent loan. The report was made as a matter of record.
Lost Property:  An Officer responded to assist a citizen with a lost wallet.  A report was taken.
Intoxicated Person:  Officers responded to the report of an intoxicated male walking around an apartment complex.  After contact was made the male was identified and arrested for minor consuming alcohol.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  Police responded to a non-injury traffic accident. One adult male was issued a citation and released with a court date.
Jan. 20:
Vandalism:  Report taken for graffiti on the towns wash wall and the Bunkerville Bridge.
Five incidents of Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for truancy.
Theft:  Officers responded to Walmart reference a petit larceny. On arrival security requested to sign a citation against the offender. The offender was transported to jail.
Jan. 21:
Miscellaneous CAD Call Record:  A citizen requested a report be taken reference an ex-boyfriend accusing her of stealing money.
Burglary:  Officers responded to the police station for a report of a burglary that occurred approximately 3-4 days ago.
Fraud:  Officers responded to the police station lobby for a report of fraud. The victim was told by a government agency that her social security number has been used by another person. It is unknown if an identity theft has occurred at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Welfare Check:  Officer responded on a welfare check for a possible suicidal subject. Subject was transported to mental health for assistance.
Theft:  Responded to Walmart for a petit larceny. A report was taken.
Wanted Person:  Officer responded to the justice facility for a wanted person. Wanted person was booked into jail.
Mental Person:  Officers responded to a local casino in response to a female with mental illness. The female was attempting to report a vehicle as stolen. It was discovered that the vehicle was not stolen. Officers were able to locate the female’s husband who took her home.
Threatening:  Male subject was reportedly making threats with the use of an alleged weapon. Male subject was located and arrested for the aforementioned charge.
Trespassing:  Officers responded to a local casino and arrested a male for trespass violation. The male was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Found Property:  Officers were dispatched to a found bicycle and the bicycle was placed into safekeeping.
Jan. 22:
Wanted Person:  Officers responded to a casino and located a female with an active bench warrant. The female was arrested for the warrant.
Vandalism: Officer responded to local neighborhood reference vandalism. An investigation and a report were complete for vandalism to a vehicle.
Five incidents of Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for truancy.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded for a report of a traffic accident. There were no reported injuries and both vehicles were able to drive from the scene.
Suspicious/Vehicle:  Officer responded to a local business reference a suspicious vehicle. Records showed the vehicle had not been reported stolen and did not have any further records.
Wanted Person:  Mesquite Officers responded to a local convenient store for suspicious activity; one male adult was arrested for warrants.
Theft:  Officers responded to a business reference a retail theft. Information for a report was completed and the investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 23:
Controlled Substance Problem:  A traffic stop was made for reckless driving. One juvenile male was cited and released for DUI, reckless driving, and possession of a controlled substance.  One juvenile passenger was cited and released for minor consumption of alcohol, and possession of a controlled substance.
Minor Possessing/Consuming:  A vehicle was stopped for speeding.  The driver was cited and released for three traffic offenses and open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
Minor Gambling:  Officer responded to a local casino on a report of underage gambling. One male was cited and released.
Wanted Person:  An officer made contact with an adult male and female arguing in a parking lot. One adult male was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Citizen Assist:  Officer responded to the local police station reference a citizen assist call. Officer retrieved several items which were booked into the evidence vault as safekeeping.
