Police Blotter Jan. 10-16

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.
This week, there were 140 total incidents in the blotter:

Jan. 10:
Trespassing IP: An Officer responded to a Casino for a report of a male trespassing on property.  The male was identified and arrested for trespassing.
Lost Property:  Officers responded to a report of a missing debit card.  A report was taken.
Suspicious/Pers:  Officers responded to a local residence for a verbal argument, identification of the involved parties resulted in the arrest of a male adult for an outstanding warrant.
Jan. 11:
Minor Gambling:  Officers responded to a local casino for a complaint of a minor gaming. The minor was identified, cited and released.
Vandalism:  Officers responded to an apartment complex reference vandalized mailboxes.  A report was taken, and the Post Office was notified.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a residence reference a physical altercation.  After an investigation, a male adult was arrested for domestic battery.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  Officers responded to a vehicle versus bicyclist accident on Mesquite Blvd.  After an investigation, there were no injuries and one citation issued to the driver of the vehicle.
Fraud:  An officer responded to the police department lobby reference a fraud. A report was taken.
Lost Property:  An Officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department and took a report of lost property.
Found Property:  Police responded to a report of a found wallet. The wallet was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center evidence vault as found property.
Found Property:  Officer responded to a local gas station for a report of a found wallet. Officer was unable to make contact with the owner. The wallet was entered into found property and secured in the vault until the owner could be located.
Missing Person:  Officer responded to a local residence for a report of a missing person. The Officer took the report and the subject was entered into NCIC as missing.  Investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 12:
Traffic accident W/O injury:  An Officer responded to a private property accident. An exchange of information was completed.
Found Property:  Police responded to a found property report. The items were recovered and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center evidence vault for safekeeping.
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  Metal gate at Police Department was struck and pushed off track.  No damage to vehicle or gate and gate is functioning properly.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  The Mesquite Police Department received several calls about a suspicious incident that was posted on social media. Detectives were able to locate several people who were involved. An investigative report was completed.
Driving Under the Influence:  An officer conducted a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle, the driver was later arrested for DUI.
Jan. 13:
Fighting IP:  Officers responded to a local casino in reference to a fight.  Two adult arrests were made, for battery and disorderly conduct.
Welfare Check:  Officers were dispatched to a residence to check the welfare of a teenager who refused to go to school and was believed to be using drugs. The teenager was taken to see a doctor by her mother for an unknown medical condition.
Vandalism:  Officer responded for a report of graffiti at a park. A report and photographs were taken.
Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for a truancy.
Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for a truancy.
Runaway Juvenile:  Officer responded to Mesquite Mental Health to take a report of a runaway juvenile. A report was created.
Court Order:  Officers responded to a residence reference a possible sex offender who was not in compliance with registration laws. No arrests were made.
Mental Person:  Officers responded to a suspicious person in the roadway. Officers contacted an adult male with mental problems who was transported to the hospital.
Juvenile Problem:  Officers were dispatched to a local residence, in reference to a juvenile problem.
Traffic Stop:  A traffic stop was completed on a male for a moving violation. An information report regarding suspicious behavior was completed.
Controlled Substance Problem:  An Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.  Upon further investigation, the adult driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a public officer, and obtaining and using personal identification of another.
Jan. 14:
Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for a truancy.
Welfare Check:  Officers conducted a welfare check on a juvenile. The juvenile admitted to having suicidal thoughts and plans. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Welfare Check:  Officers responded on a welfare check. Officers were unable to make contact with the resident.
Theft:  Male juvenile was cited for theft of property and released care and custody to an adult family member.
Civil Dispute:  Officers received a phone call from an adult female who had questions regarding custody after a verbal dispute with an ex-boyfriend.
Jan. 15:
Truancy:  Officer’s respond to a local school for a truancy.
Truancy:  Officer’s respond to a local school for a truancy.
Vandalism:  Report taken for graffiti on the town wash wall and the Bunkerville Bridge.
Assault IP:  An officer responded to a  local health care facility for a report of mistreatment by staff. After completing interviews and the investigation, no charges were filed.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Report taken for non-injury accident at an intersection.
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a residence for a report of domestic violence. After conducting interviews and their investigation, Officers determined the male to be the aggressor. The male was later arrested.
Wanted Person:  Officer made contact with a female who had two warrants. The female was arrested and booked into jail without incident.
Theft:  Officers responded to a local business regarding a retail theft. The business declined to press charges.
Wanted Person:  Officers arrested an adult female who had a misdemeanor warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court
Jan. 16:
Found Property:  Officer received a found property item that was placed in safe keeping.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a two vehicle crash. Minor complaints of injuries were reported with nobody being transported to the hospital. One driver was issued a citation for failing to yield.
Theft:  Officer took a report of theft of property.
Theft:  Report taken for stolen property.
