December 1878: At L.D.S church conference in St George, Utah a number of families were from Panaca, Pine Valley and St George were called to colonize the north side of the Virgin River.

January 31, 1922: Mary Huntsman Leavitt Sr. dies in Bunkerville she was the first plural wife of Dudley Leavitt.

January 13, 1908: Mrs.  Bodel Margret Johnson becomes Postmistress.

January 13, 1979: Mrs. Betty Knight becomes Postmistress of Mesquite.

December 1989: Ground breaking for library under beautiful skies.
