Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

This week, there were 144 total incidents in the blotter:

Dec. 13:

Burglary: An Officer responded to the burglary of a business. The business had been broken into, the crime scene was processed and the investigation continues.

Theft from Vehicle:  Officer responded to a local condominium complex for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. Officer spoke to the reporting person and took the report.  Investigation is ongoing.

Weapon Offense:  Detectives took a report of an assault with a deadly weapon that had previously occurred in the Mesquite area. An investigation was conducted that lead to the arrest of one adult male with multiple felony charges.

 

Dec. 14:

Traffic accident W/O injury:  An officer responded to the Police Department lobby in reference to a vehicle accident.

Wanted Person:  Police responded to Clark County Detention Center for an adult female who was in custody for an active Mesquite Municipal Court Warrant. The female was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.

Lost Property:  Police responded to the lobby reference a ring lost at a casino. A report was taken.

 

Dec. 15:

Theft from Vehicle:  Police responded to a theft from vehicle. A report was taken.

Theft from Vehicle:  Police responded to a theft from vehicle. A report was taken and the stolen item was entered into the NCIC database.

Fraud:  Officers responded to a reported theft of a purse.  Stolen checks had been cashed at local banks.  A report was taken.

Theft from Vehicle:  An officer responded to a local residence for a report of a wallet being stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle:  Police responded to a theft from vehicle.  A report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the suspects.

Fraud: An officer received information regarding a possible identity theft and fraudulent use of credit cards which may be occurring in Mesquite.  The officer gathered initial information from the complainant as well as information from another police agency.  The investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing IP:  Officer responded to a local apartment complex reference a trespass violator.  Upon arrival Officers located and cited one male adult for trespassing.

Theft:  Officers responded to a local residence for a report of stolen property taken from the front yard.

Wanted Person:  Officers responded to a local casino for a report of a trespassed male. The male was located and arrested for trespassing and an active bench warrant.

 

Dec. 16:

Theft: Officer responded to a golf course reference a theft report. A report was completed.

Suspicious/Person:  Male subject was reported to be acting suspicious in a residential parking lot.  The investigation revealed narcotics and the suspect taken into custody.

Mental Person:   Responded on a welfare check for a mentally ill person.

Theft:  Officers responded to a residence reference a theft. There is no offender information at this time.

Vandalism:  Officers responded and took a report of vandalism to a vehicle. No arrests were made.

Theft:  Officers responded to a local casino for a report of a theft from a hotel room. There was no suspect information at the time of the report.

Domestic Trouble:  Officers responded to a domestic incident where damage occurred to a vehicle. After conducting interviews, it was determined that the male half was the

offender. The male was not located at the time. A citation is pending for the male.

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries:  Officers responded to a head on collision between two pickup trucks. Both drivers and one passenger sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital by EMS personnel.

Hit & Run:  Officer responded to a hit and run. Suspect driver was located based on witness information and one adult female was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

 

Dec. 17:

Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to a local casino reference a male subject that had previously been trespassed from the property. The male was issued a citation for trespassing and left property without incident.

Theft:  Officer took a theft report from Ace Hardware that occurred on 12-12-15. No witnesses no suspects.

Traffic accident W/O injury:  A report was taken for a traffic accident occurring on private property. The suspect vehicle left the area. The damage to the complainant’s victim was minor. It is unknown if the driver of the other vehicle is aware that they were involved in an accident. There is no information for the vehicle that left the scene.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer responded to a disorderly call. After investigating the incident, the suspect was cited.

 

Dec. 18:

Controlled Substance Problem:  Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued a citation.

Stolen Vehicle:  Officers recovered a utility trailer which was reported stolen out of St.George,  Utah. The trailer was returned to the owner.

Hit & Run:  Officers responded to a report of a hit and run to a parked vehicle that occurred sometime the day before. There is currently no suspect information.

Verbal Dispute IP:  Officers were dispatched to a verbal dispute among husband and wife. There was no violence or threats made during the dispute. The male half could not be contacted. No arrests or citations were made.

Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a two vehicle accident without injuries. A warning citation was issued to one of the drivers for improper lane change.

Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress. One adult male was arrested for domestic battery and minor consumption of alcohol based on the investigation.

Dec. 19:

Minor Possessing/Consuming:  Officers cited and released two minors for minor consumption of alcohol.

Driving Under the Influence:  Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible registration. One adult male was arrested for DUI and traffic related offenses based on investigation.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officer responded to a residence for a report of a suspicious phone call. An information report was completed.

Wanted Person: Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle and one adult male was arrested on an unrelated traffic warrant.

Wanted Person:  Officers arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
