Sherry Redd Green of Naples, Fla. and Centerville, Mass. passed away at the age of 75 on Nov. 27, 2015.Obituary-12-3-15

Sherry was born in Sterling, Ill. and raised in Newton Mass., where she graduated in 1958 from Beaver Country Day School. Sherry married her husband, Alan, in 1972. They raised eight children between them: Richard Lee, Randal Green, Wendy Lee Joakim, Alan “Chip” Green Jr., William Kirk Lee, Timothy Green, Christopher Lee and Kathleen “Molly” Green Murphy.

Sherry did title work and was a mortgage broker for the Hyannis Law Firm of Mycock, Kilroy, Green and McLaughlin. She was active in the Barnstable County Bar Association Lawyers Auxiliary, serving as its first President. She supported many local political and humanitarian causes. She was an accomplished skier, tennis player and golfer, and was a member of Oyster Harbors Club in Osterville, Mass.

In 1996, Sherry and Alan moved to Mesquite, Nev. where she was very active in town activities. She was Vice President of Si Redd’s Oasis Resort and help develop Mesquite Vistas and the Oasis Golf Club. When the Oasis Resort was sold, the couple took residence in Naples, Fla.

Sherry died peacefully at home from the effects of Alzheimer’s in Naples, surrounded by family, her loving dog, Silas, and the support of Hospice Care.

Sherry is predeceased by her parents, William “Si” and Ivy Redd. She is survived by her beloved sister, Vinnie Redd Copeland of Osterville, Mass. and Vero Beach, Fla. She was loving “Mimi” to her nine grandchildren. She leaves behind a rich legacy of forthright charm with so many friends and loved ones.
