LE VAN SHOOTS 74 AND LOSES TO MILLER ON THE CARD
Paul LeVan and Tim Miller teed it up in their second round of the mid-winter match play tournament. They started on the 17th hole and Le Van was one up when they went to the front nine. Le Van added two birdies on the front side for a one under 34 and Tim Miller had one birdie and shot even par 35 putting Miller two shots down going to number ten. Miller lost the 10th hole putting him three down. Their next six holes went back and forth with Miller trying to get back in with a birdie on the 11th hole. Le Van birdied the par three 14th, but his double bogey six on 15 and Miller’s birdie on the par five 16th made it all even after 18. They came to the club house and used the score card to determine the winner. Both parred the first handicap hole. It went to the second hdcp hole, number 6, where Miller won with a par four to Le Van’s bogey. From the sound of it they had a great competitive match.
The next scheduled play is Tuesday, Dec 15th at 8:00 at Falcon Ridge and Thursday Dec 17at 8:30 t h at the Canyons the last 2015 mini tournament.
