The Beaver Dam Station’s owner, Bill Evans, has been working with crew members to open a much larger version of the Beaver Dam Store.
The new store located just down the road from the present Beaver Dam Station and Bar has no opening date set yet but progress is rapidly being made on the new facility.
Gas pumps are in and according to Evans’ secretary, Bonnie Rowley, there is some minor work that still needs to be done before inspections but it’s not much. The store itself has most of the major work completed. County inspections must also be completed before the store can open.
Lacey’s Laundromat adjacent to the store is set to open once they pass their final inspections. Employees Rowley and Dave Allemen are betting that the laundry will be the first to begin offering their services with the gas pumps opening shortly afterward.
The store itself has all of the equipment inside and ready to be installed but Evans, along with the entire crew, have taken a short vacation to Cozumel, Mexico. Construction will begin again once they return but Rowley isn’t sure exactly when that will be.
