Have you ever seen a Christmas tree in a store or in a friend’s home and thought to yourself, “I could do a better job than that.”  Or you mumbled under your breath to yourself “If someone would ask me show my creative decorating talents they would be amazed at the job I would do!”

If this is you, the Mesquite Arts Council wants you for the 19th annual Festival of Trees Nov. 18 through 21 at the CasaBlanca Special Events Center Tent.

The Festival already has numerous lovely trees, but there is always room for your creation in the lineup. Call today for a form, fill it out, and get it back to the person from whom you got it.

To request a form and reserve your space, call Aleta Ruth at 702-461-1403, Susan Bennett at 702-346-5966 or Blair Adams at 801 815-6812.

The Tree Festival will feature great Mesquite talent all four days. Our local veterans will be honored, the winners of the 5th grade art contest will be announced and choirs will sing. Mrs. Santa Claus will appear and so will Bosley the Bear.

Admission for the Festival will be $4.00, however you can get $1.00 off admission with two unexpired cans of food. If you have a coupon that is being passed out at other events in town, you can get another dollar of admission.

The theme this year is ‘Joy”. This means that as long as you use the word “Joy”, you can be as creative as you want with your tree.

Many beautiful trees are already being planned and prepared for this year’s event. But there is always room for more.

There are many wonderful crafters and vendors planned for the Festival;  if you are a crafter or vendor and would like to be involved, contact Aleta Ruth at 702 461-1403 for further information.
