Virgin Valley Artists Association has added an evening drawing class to its art instruction schedule. In addition to her continuing daytime art lessons, Bunny Wiseman now teaches beginning drawing, Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Wiseman is an experienced teacher who specializes in teaching dry media art with pencil and pastels. Interested students do not need to bring materials to their first class. This is a “drop in” class, with no advance reservation needed.

Wiseman’s class can be taken on a week-to-week basis, allowing short term visitors to participate, as well as Mesquite residents.  Classes cost $10 per session and students pay the instructor directly at class time. Wiseman’s class is held in the Mesquite Fine Arts Center classroom, adjacent to the Gallery at 15 W. Mesquite Blvd.

VVAA president Jean Wiensch said, “We are hoping to reach another group of artists by adding this evening class.  We want to offer classes for people who cannot attend during the day because of time conflicts with their daytime jobs.”

Visit the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery for more information about these and other art and pottery instruction opportunities.  The gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Phone 702-346-1338, website mesquitefineartscenter.com.
