Another Veterans Day Parade took place this past Saturday. It could not have happened with out the assistance of Harold and Pat Straley, my two partners in this most rewarding venture. In addition I want to thank Nancy and Fran Smercani who help every year in the check-in and placement of the units in this event. When I took over as chairman of the parade ten years ago, I thought I would do it for one year and turn it over to someone else. I think I’ll do it again next year. Of course, we could still use a few more helpers next year. If you care as much as we do about our veterans, call me next spring and I’ll put you to work.
