Dear Editor,
I want to give a huge warm hug to the town of Mesquite. Three days ago, my sister, Ardeth Gail George-Norris passed away at Mesa View Hospital.  During her passing and the time afterward, everyone that my daughter, Jennifer Boehmer, and I came in contact with went beyond the expected in helping strangers in need in their town.

The first of those, were the staff of the hospital ICU. They were all wonderful, but I must mention RNs Rose and Lorene, Respiratory Therapist Lloyd, and Doctor Leavitt. Lloyd provided a ride to my hotel and an offer to take me to the car rental the following day. So over the top in caring unselfishly for others.

Ben and his wonderful assistant at Virgin Valley Mortuary most definitely went above and beyond in providing incredibly meaningful and timely services. It’s hard to find words to thank them for the way they cared for us in our time of need.

We want to especially thank the manager, Denise, at the Desert Shade Apartments and my sister’s tremendously caring and helpful neighbors Linda and Tiffany. We quite literally could not have done what needed to be done without them.

My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and were treated very well there. My thanks especially to Bonnie.

We are so grateful that my sister spent her last years in your warm and caring community.

With gratitude,

Lanan Clark
