The Desert Dames held their annual fashion show on Nov. 18 at the CasaBlanca ballroom.  Approximately 150 guests enjoyed a delicious turkey lunch with a garden salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, and caramel apple pie for desert.  The tables were decorated beautifully and the event followed the theme that “Girls just want to have fun.”

The luncheon began with a special performance by All That Jazz performing their rendition of “Anything Goes.”  They’re a talented group of women that never fail at putting on a great show.

After lunch the Fashion Show began with thirteen women modeling fashions from local businesses.  Their outfits were sponsored by 2DA9Z Clothing Boutique, Bealls, Boutiques at Stephen’s Hair etc, City Shoppes Embroidery, Crazy for Hair Wig Emporium, Have Boutique Will Travel, Klasik Kloset Consignment Boutique, Ready Golf & Gear and Sahaira Salon & Boutique.  Thanks to all of the businesses that participated in the fashion Show. The luncheon concluded with a raffle for some amazing gifts.

The fashion show and luncheon is the one event the Desert Dames hosts that’s open to the public.  What a great opportunity to show interested individuals all the things the Desert Dames has to offer.  There are special interest groups that participate in everything from knitting to hiking.  For more information call the Membership Chair Debbie Oskin at (702) 346-0811.
