Cash Mobs have become popular events in Mesquite in the past couple of years and one of the many participants has been Ready Golf and Gear located on Pioneer Blvd.  Cash Mobs are sponsored by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and are a great way for the community to get some really great deals for just $20 at many of the local participating stores.

Ready Golf held their ninth cash mob on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The popular local store received a steady stream of customers all day who were ready to take advantage of great sales on items included in the event.

Mesquite Chamber members Brenda Snell and Ted Miller were kept busy meeting and greeting customers all day as well as handing out raffle tickets to anyone who visited the store during those hours.  Items raffled every half hour ranged from gift certificates to caps and visors.

“It’s been busy. I think the store owners are pretty happy with the way things are turning out today,” Miller said. Snell mentioned that Ready Golf is happy with the Cash Mobs and they’re obviously working because they keep asking to do them.  “They’re not afraid to market their business and reach out to the public which is great.  They do a very good job at marketing the cash mobs by advertising themselves over and above what we, the Chamber does for them.  They put up sidewalk displays that grab the attention of people passing by and those who are looking for them know exactly where to come.  Not everyone has yet understood how to market their businesses but Ready Golf does an excellent job.”

Those who chose to attend the cash mob were expecting to find bargains. But some people were treated to a surprise when they arrived and were also able to cash in on some really great deals like customer Mary Miller.  Miller is a regular shopper in Mesquite and just happened to be in town for the day and was happy to find some great deals.

Any business who is a member of the Chamber of Commerce can request a cash mob at their business. It’s a great way to market your business and let people know what goods you have to offer.  Cash mobs are also a great way for the community to support their local business owners and keeps Mesquite’s economy thriving.
