In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services-Senior Services Division, and the Mesquite/Overton Zumba® Fitness Instructors are hosting a Zumbathon® Charity Event to raise money for the Mesquite Cancer HELP Society.

The goal of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month program is to bring an end to breast cancer altogether. Preventing and detecting breast cancer early will help save more lives. Understand the lifestyle factors that may affect your risk of breast cancer and what you can do to stay healthy. Breast exams, mammograms and other screenings increase the chances of detecting breast cancer early, when they are most likely to be curable.

It’s time to get moving and help find cures for “Cancer Victims Altogether”. Do it for yourself, for the people you love, for the millions who need your support. Join the Party in Pink™ Zumbathon ® Charity Event Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 4-8:30 p.m. at the Mesquite Recreation Center. The Recreation Center and Senior Center will have pre-event tickets on sale for a small fee. Every participant will be getting a door prize. Monetary donation is also gratefully appreciated.

“Giving back is a cornerstone of our unique culture here in Mesquite,” said Griseyda Belalcazar, Event Coordinator. “Partnering with the Mesquite Cancer HELP Society is just one of the many ways our Fitness Professionals show their passion and compassion in our community.”

Come join the fun. Have a great night of entertainment, performances, fun and meeting new people. Meet and Greet the Zumba® Fitness Instructors and enjoy the music.
