Mesquite’s Valley Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce that Reverend Adolph Kunen will become their new fulltime Pastor on Oct. 1. Reverend Kunen and his wife, Pat, are relocating to Mesquite from Las Vegas where he has been the Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church since December 2010. NewPresbyterianPastor-09-21-15

During his pastoral leadership at Westminster, many significant changes took place, including a growing attendance at Sunday services, establishment of a healing ministry and initiation of several community outreach programs. Reverend Kunen has also served on the Mission Outreach Committee of the Presbytery of Nevada where he had a lead role in the recent chartering of the First Thai / Laotian Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas.

With a Master of Divinity from the Princeton Theological seminary, Pastor Kunen has served several churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Las Vegas area during a period of over 20 years. Having followed the development of Valley Presbyterian Church as a member of the Mission Outreach Committee and being a Guest Pastor at Valley several times, Pastor Kunen states that “I have been called to do ministry in the midst of a people who, practically speaking, through their presence and projects, express love and friendship; voice help and hope; are sustained by faith and worship; and walk with God to serve the community of Mesquite.”

The Valley Presbyterian Church invites you to welcome Adolph and Pat to the Mesquite community and to join them on Oct. 4 for Sunday worship services at 9:30 am, followed by fellowship at 10:30 am. Valley Presbyterian Church is located at 350 Falcon Ridge Parkway, Suite 702 (just behind Beall’s Department Store in the Falcon Ridge Business Park).
