Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Sept. 20-26, 2015.

Sept. 20:

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute, involving a male and female with a child in common. The male was arrested and transported to Mesquite Detention Center.

Theft: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a report of the attempted theft of a wallet. The incident is being investigated.

Domestic Violence IP: Officer took a telephone report of a possible domestic situation. Information was received and follow up is ongoing.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a report of a traffic accident at Falcon St & Eagle St. Report was taken and the at-fault driver was issued a citation.

Sept. 21:

Disturbance of School: Officers responded to the high school for a report of a disturbance involving juveniles.

Vandalism: An officer responded to a report for vandalism to youth football equipment on Eagle St.

Wanted Person: Officers made contact with a male adult on W Mesquite Blvd with two misdemeanor warrants from Las Vegas.  He was arrested and transferred to Clark County Detention Center.

Dead Body: An officer responded to N Sandhill Blvd for a report of a deceased person. The male subject was found to be deceased. The Clark County Coroner and reported the caused of death is unknown at this time.

Theft: Police responded to a theft from a vending machine on W Pioneer Blvd. A report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the suspect.

Follow Up Investigation: An Officer assisted citizen with questions.

Welfare Check: An Officer responded to an E Old Mill Rd residence to conduct a welfare check on a small child. The child was found to in good health with no problems

Sept. 22:

Identification Check: Nineteen year old male caught gambling at an E Pioneer Blvd casino was cited and released.

Found Property: An officer responded to a Royal Flush Ct residence for a found wallet.

Sept. 23:

Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to an Aztec Circle residence, in reference to a domestic battery.  After an investigation, an adult male subject was arrested for domestic battery.

Sept. 24:

Theft: Officers responded to an Oakmont Ridge residence reference a theft. Officers took a report of a stolen yard decorations.

Theft: Officers responded to a Serenity Ridge Ct residential area regarding stolen property. A report taken reference stolen construction materials from a home under construction.

Theft: Suspect stole items from Wal-Mart. Suspect fled the scene after being confronted. Charges pending.

Sept. 25:

Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd casino and arrested a male for trespass.

Wanted Person: Officer made contact with a wanted subject on Hillside Dr. Subject was arrested on warrant.

Vandalism: An officer received a report of suspicious activity. The complainant provided the officer with information reference suspicious events at her home, and an officer’s report was completed.

Fighting IP: Officers responded to a fight at the middle school. During the course of the investigation two other students were cited.

Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male on W Mesquite Blvd who had a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.

Sept. 26:

Theft From Veh: Complainant is reporting an item taken from the unsecured vehicle on Mesquite Springs Dr. Complainant requested it be a matter of record.

Minor Gambling: Officer responded for a minor gambling at an E Pioneer Blvd casino. Suspect was identified and cited for minor gambling.

Theft: Report was taken for theft of property on W Pioneer Blvd. The suspect was cited and released with a court date to appear.

Fighting: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a fight. Officers spoke with some of the subjects involved, who refused to pursue any criminal charges.
