Earlier this year, residents from the Virgin and Moapa Valleys, as well as others from surrounding areas, were able to attend a job fair sponsored by local businesses. Nearly 530 applicants attended that fair in February.

The upcoming Putting Mesquite To Work Job Fair on Monday, September 21, 2015 is sure to draw in more applicants who search for that next step in their career, vying for over 150 available jobs in the valleys. Organized by Mesquite Regional Business, Inc. and its committee members, the event is already drawing in more businesses than before.

Once again, the fair will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the CasaBlanca Casino & Hotel, 450 W Mesquite Boulevard, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone searching for a job is encouraged to dress appropriately, bring plenty of resumes and be prepared for interviews right on the spot.

To help those applicants prepare, there will also be two classes held that will give tips on interviewing methods and how to improve resumes. The classes are both free, with limited space. The first will be held on Thursday, September 17 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the College of Southern Nevada Campus, 140 N. Yucca St. Call Darlene Montague to sign up at 702-346-2485. The other class will be held Friday, September 18 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Primex Plastics, 752 Turtleback Road. Call Brandy Carnahan with MRBI at 702-345-3075 to sign up for that one.
