The Virgin Valley High School Bulldogs face Sunrise Mountain Miners Thursday Sep. 24 in a regional T.V. game. The Miners are led by former Virgin Valley head football coach Chris Sawyers.

Sawyers’ Miners have won two games so far in 2015 which is a school record. The Miners destroyed Western 54-6 and squeaked by Pahrump Valley 20-14 before getting beat up by Chaparral 35-14 and Moapa Valley 54-6 in their last outing. The Miners are led by Q.B. Stephen Wright and running back Trayvon Ward.

The Dawgs will face their first passing attack from a spread offense. Despite the two losses Wright has managed to hit receivers on a constant basis. The major question for the Miners, can they stop a Bulldog rushing attack led by running backs Cody Jones, Josh Bishop, Kai Mitchell and Q.B. Hogan Fowles.

Fowles keeps defenses honest by sending Bishop and speedy wide out Jarret Tietjen on long passing routes. It should be a great game to watch from your easy chair. The football game will be televised on Channel 21 on Dish TV or Channel 12 on Reliance.   Or people can Google search  http://www.mylvtv.com/newsroom/sports/tnl/
