The Rancho High School Rams averaged 300+ yards during two straight wins before they ran into a swarming Virgin Valley High School defense Friday night in Las Vegas. The Dawgs held the Rams to 42 yards rushing and 100 total yards overall for the game. Meanwhile the Bulldogs rushed for 270+ yards and a 14-0 win. It was a far cry from previous games with the Rams. Neither team could get on the scoreboard in the first period as the Ram defense bent but would not break. The Bulldogs managed to put a long drive together midway through the second period with quarterback Hogan Fowles hitting Josh Bishop for the final 26 yards and a 7-0 lead for the Dawgs. The Dawgs had one more opportunity fumbled away deep in Ram territory late in the period.

The Bulldog rushing attack dominated the second half of play with Fowles handing off to Jones, Bishop and Kai Mitchell between Q.B. bootlegs which confused the Ram defense. The Bulldogs scored behind Jones 8 yard scamper with 6:37 left in the game and a 14-0 Bulldog lead. Fowles led all rushers with 84 yards followed by Jones with 79 yards and Mitchell adding 66 yards to the Bulldog attack. The win gives the Dawgs a 1-0 record in league play and 3-1 overall. The Bulldogs travel to Sunrise Mountain Thursday in a televised game.
