Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Aug. 9-15, 2015.
Aug. 9:
Theft: Police responded to a theft of a cell phone on Moss Dr. A report was taken and the phone information was entered into the National Crime Information Center database.
Lost Property: An officer responded to the police department lobby reference a report of a lost wallet.
Stolen Vehicle: An Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business for a report of a stolen utility trailer. Information was gathered and a report taken.
Theft From Vehicle: Complainant on S Arrowhead Ln contacted Police when he noticed his rear license plate was missing from his vehicle and was worried it may have been stolen.
Aug. 10:
Trespassing IP: An Officer responded to the Hospital for a male who was reported to be causing a disturbance by arguing with Hospital staff. The male was read the trespass
warning and then left property.
Theft: An Officer took a report of the theft of patio furniture from an unoccupied residence on Mariposa Way. Information and evidence was gathered and an investigation started.
Welfare Check: An Officer responded to a Falcon Ridge Pkwy business to conduct a welfare check on a suspicious female that was reported in the area. Officer attempted to locate the female but was unable find her.
Reckless Driver: Officers conducted a traffic stop with a reckless driver on I15 NB.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a non-injury accident at an E Old Mill Rd intersection. A report was taken and one adult male was issued a citation for a moving violation.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident at the intersection of Pioneer Blvd and Turtleback Rd. A report was taken.
Found Property: An unknown citizen turned into to the Mesquite Municipal Court Clerk’s window some mail envelopes and an Arizona Driver’s License.
Wanted Person: Officers arrested a female on E First North St who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Aug. 11:
Trespassing IP: Officers responded to a Falcon Ridge Pkwy convenience store for a report of a trespass violator. A male subject was arrested for trespassing.
Theft From Vehicle: A report was taken for a theft from a motor vehicle on E Camellia Cir.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a non injury accident at the intersection of W Mesquite Blvd & Riverside Rd. A report was taken.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers arrested a male on Falcon Ridge Pkwy who was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Wanted Person: Female observed at a Falcon Ridge Pkwy convenient store was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Aug. 12:
Stolen Vehicle: An officer took a report of a stolen off highway vehicle from an E Camellia Cir residence.
The vehicle owner is still gathering information on the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to Leavitt Ln neighborhood for a complaint of two large pickup trucks racing down the street. The vehicles were later located and both drivers were issued citations.
Aug. 13:
Identification Check: An officer was dispatched to an E Pioneer Blvd casino, in reference to a minor gambling.
Wanted Person: Officer made contact with a male with an active warrant out of Mesquite. The male was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center without incident.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Two vehicle traffic collision with personal injury at E Mesquite Blvd & W Mesquite Blvd. First driver was issued citation for failure to yield the right of way. 2nd driver arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a report of a domestic in progress at a N Grapevine Rd residence. Upon arrival, officers determined the incident to be a verbal argument between a male and female.
Theft From Vehicle: Officer responded to a report of a stolen license plate from vehicle on Mesquite Springs Dr. Officer took report and investigation is ongoing.
Aug. 14:
Minor Gambling: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a report of minors gambling. Two juvenile males were cited for minor gambling, and released to a guardian with a court date.
Wanted Person: Officer came in contact with a male subject with an active misdemeanor warrant on E Pioneer Blvd.
Subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center for booking.
Driving Under the Influence: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a vehicle accident that occurred in the parking lot. One male driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested for DUI.
Fraud: A officer took a report from a citizen who had unauthorized withdrawals from his banking institution. The officers gathered preliminary information and the investigation is ongoing.
Trespassing IP: An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a trespass violator. An adult male subject was cited and released for trespassing.
Burglary: Officer responded to a report of residential burglary on E First South St. During investigation, it was determined the two parties were legally married and no court orders were in place regarding residence/property.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. An adult male was arrested for trespassing.
Aug. 15:
Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit & run accident at a W Mesquite Blvd gas station. Two suspects in vehicle 1 fled the scene prior exchanging information. Officers are still attempting to locate the suspects and vehicle.
Indecent Exposure: An officer was dispatched to an E Pioneer Blvd casino, in reference to an adult subject urinating in a public place. This adult male subject was later cited and released for breach of peace.
