Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Aug. 16:

No synopsis given for any incidents.

Aug. 17:

Trespassing IP: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. Upon further investigation the subject was arrested for possession of heroin.

Theft From Vehicle: An Officer responded to a stereo stolen from a motor vehicle on N Grapevine Rd; a report was taken.

Fraud: An Officer took a telephone report, reference the fraudulent use of a credit card at a business in Mesquite. Information was obtained concerning the fraudulent charges and the crime is being investigated.

Civil Dispute: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Second South St. The incident was a verbal argument only.

Battery on Person: Mesquite Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd business reference a report of simple battery. Consequently a male adult was arrested.

Aug. 18:

Hit & Run: An Officer responded to a hit and run vehicle accident on W Pioneer Blvd.  A report was taken.

Controlled Substance Problem: While conducting a traffic stop on I15 NB, Officers arrested an adult male passenger who had an active misdemeanor warrant from Mesquite Municipal Court.  One adult female passenger was also arrested on multiple drug charges.

Assault/Battery: Officers responded to the hospital reference a report of a battery. An unrelated adult male and adult female were involved in a physical altercation. An officer’s report was completed and the investigation continues.

Aug. 19:

Theft: Officer took a report of theft on W Pioneer Blvd. The female suspect was cited and released with a court date.

Fraud: A female on Pulsipher Ln reported her name was fraudulently used to obtain a credit card.

Aug. 20:

Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a report of a male making threats at a N Grapevine Rd residence. Home owner requested to press charges. One adult male was booked into jail for breach of peace.

Dead Body: Officers responded to a Pebble Beach Dr residence reference a deceased male.

Theft: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a report of a theft. The victim wanted to report the theft as a matter of record, and did not wish to pursue charges.

Aug. 21:

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a report of a domestic altercation between an adult male and female on E Pioneer Blvd. The female was arrested for domestic battery.

Domestic Trouble: An officer was dispatched to a N Dairy Ln address, in reference to possible vandalism.  After this matter was investigated, an adult male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery.

Fraud: Officers responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business reference a report of patrons passing counterfeit currency. Dispatch received another report of a similar incident, and their vehicle was identified. Officers recovered the counterfeit bill, and an officer’s report was completed. The investigation is ongoing.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd hotel reference a domestic dispute. At the conclusion of there investigation Officers arrested one male for Domestic Battery.

Aug. 22:

Disorderly Conduct: An Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a reported intoxicated male causing problems. The male was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center for Breach of Peace.

Lost Property: An Officer took a telephone report of property lost, while staying at a Mesquite Hotel. Information was received and a report taken.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to the intersection of Grapevine Road and Duchess Lane reference a single vehicle accident.

Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to a Las Palmas Cir residence for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers found that a wife and husband were involved in a verbal dispute.

Traffic Violation: Officers assisted a male who had fallen from a moped on Smokey Ln & Pulsipher Ln.  Male was cited for a traffic offense and his vehicle was impounded.

Driving Under the Influence: Officer stopped a vehicle for failure to yield the right of way at E First North St & N Yucca St. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Stolen Vehicle: Paintbrush Wy Citizen reported their vehicle was taken from their driveway after returning from a family outing.

Suspicious/Person: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male on W Mesquite Blvd with friends trying to calm him down. Male was running in the roadway. He was detained and resisted arrest.
