The Virgin Valley Artists Association is conducting a Watercolor Skills Workshop today from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Now is the perfect time to learn this new medium so you can add to your present painting skills, brush up on old skills or just come and have some fun.

Jan Hansen will be teaching techniques in watercolor painting using plastic wrap texturing.  $15 fee if student brings own materials, $20 with materials included.

You won’t want to miss the Sweets and Treats Concert on Friday featuring Brian Wursten and Darlene Omaye.  The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., Valley Presbyterian Church, 350 Falcon Ridge Parkway, #702.

Wursten and Omaye will be singing songs from Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and other popular musical selections.

We Care for Animals is holding a pet adoption this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at 150 North Yucca Street, #1.

All available adoptees through WCFA will have been vet checked, will be current on shots, spayed/neutered and ready for their forever home with you, all you have to do is stop by and pick them up.

We Care for Animals has several cats and dogs available in all age ranges from juvenile to senior and each one of them needs a loving home.

Don’t breed or buy, adopt and give a perfectly wonderful animal a second chance for a happy home.
