The Clark County Department of Air Quality (DAQ) issued an advisory due to smoke from the “AZ CRA Willow Fire” burning southeast of Needles, Calif. The advisory will be in effect today through Tuesday, Aug. 11. Information on this fire can be found at http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4465/ . Smoke is made of small particles and other pollutants that can aggravate respiratory diseases.

Unhealthy levels of air pollution are not occurring at this time. Air Quality officials will continue to monitor conditions and will post an alert on the forecast page of the DAQ website if unhealthy levels actually occur.
