Janet Trobough was born and raised in the Northwest. Largely a self-taught artist, she was introduced to watercolor painting by famed artist and teacher Max Bunnell. Fascinated by the ancient inhabitants of the region and inspired by the sparse and colorful desert, she took a leap of faith beginning a second career as an artist.

“I was represented by the Art Encounter of Las Vegas and have had the opportunity to display and sell my work in Sedona, Arizona, South Lake Tahoe, California and throughout Southern Nevada” Trobough said.

The Lost City Museum actively engages people in understanding and celebrating Nevada’s natural and cultural heritage.
