July 19, 1909: Zilpha Guearo  became postmaster. The Post Office was situated in James E Hughes home .

July 16, 1945: United States exploded its first experimental atomic bomb, in the desert of Alamogordo, NM. When testing came to Nevada residents of Mesquite  had front seat views of the cloud formations that originated from Nevada testing site.

July, 1964: Virgin Valley Area Development Committee puts Mesquite population at one thousand.

July, 1991: Primex Plastic Plant Development  on the north side of I 15 was well underway .
