Summer has returned to Mesquite again and with the snowbirds gone, several businesses have decided to move to new locations to benefit their future as well as giving customers an easier way to reach them.

The first is Bliss Salon, owned by Kaite and Chad Klein. For the past four years, they were located in the Smith’s Shopping Center next to where Jadde Sports used to be.
With business continually increasing, they felt they needed a better location that allowed for more parking and an operational space to grow into.
So, in early May they moved over to the Brickyard Plaza, 355 W Mesquite Boulevard Suite D-70. Since the move, the sky is the limit for Bliss as they hope to add facials and spray tanning to their services offered.
For now, Bliss offers hair, nail and waxing services as well as special treatments. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They can still be contacted by phone at 702-345-3545.
Big Guy’s Small Engine Repair moves to main boulevard
Another business set to reopen in a new location in Big Guy’s Small Engine Repair. For the past six years, Mark and Michaelle Turner have operated the small business On Hardy Way.
Their new location at 253 W. Mesquite Boulevard next to John’s Diesel is sure to bring in more customers since finding and accessing them was a bit more challenging at their original store.
“It was difficult to explain to some people just where we were,” said Mark. “It led to some interesting conversations, that’s for sure.”
Their new location was most recently known as Precision Motorsports. When that business decided to close (for undisclosed reasons), Turner felt that it was the right time to make the move. However, one of the mechanics from Precision will remain, John Pino.
“John said he wanted to keep working and told me about the space. Everything else just seemed to fall into place from there,” said Turner.
So Pino and Turner will be joining together to offer the most to Mesquite when it comes to small engines. The combined partnership will offer repairs on lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, ATVs, Motorcycles and even RV generators. Chances are, if it’s a small engine, Turner or Pino could fix it.
Once settled in, Turner said they might have a grand opening, but for now, it will be work as usual Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for him and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Pino. He will also keep the same phone number as before, 702-346-5950.
