THURSDAY: THREE TIE AT THE LEDGES

The MMGA travelled for the second time this week and Thursday it was to the Ledges golf course north of St George.  The weather and the course was perfect.  The first handicap hole decided the outcome as it does many times.  Today, Tom Durenberger, Paul LeVan and Bubba Petrick recorded 79’s.  LeVan and Petrick had to shoot one over par 37’s on the back in order to tie Durenberger who shot 38-41 for his 79.  When Durenberger parred the ninth hole he won over Petrick’s bogey and LeVan’s double.  Joel Reilly played exceptional shooting 42-44-86, one of his better rounds for a net 64 and first place low net.  Petrick slid into second with his 66 and Ed Hoepfner (82) and net 70 won third with his par the ninth hole over LeVan.

The next scheduled play is Tuesday, June 2 at Falcon Ridge at 7:00 and Thursday June 4th at the Palms at 7:30.  Always check your sig up sheets for any corrected times or places.  Anyone interested in joining the MMGA can call 346-6363.  Also check out our website at www.mesquitemensgolf.com.
