The school year at Beaver Dam is winding down. The eaglets are getting ready to spread their wings and fly into the summer sunshine! However there is still time to honor some outstanding students who persevere in their good citizenship and academic achievement.
One group of extra hard workers that is honored each month is the Hard Hat Heroes. These are the kids that stick with it and get the work done! Each month one student is selected to receive this honor. For the month of April the awards went to: Killian Harper (sixth grade), Libby Sisson (fifth grade), Parker Ward and Ronald Frates (fourth grade), Vanessa Lopez (third grade), Fatima Vega (second grade) Ceceila Lopez and Yandel Ruvalcaba (first grade), and Peyton Jones (kindergarten).
After a talented and educational presentation at school square by Mrs. Sandy Andrus’ third grade class about what it means to be dependable, top eagle, Phyllis Leavitt, honored the students who were being recognized as “Student of the Month”. For April, those chosen were selected for being dependable. The teachers’ choices were: Chantal Castillo (sixth grade), Shyanne Pierce (fifth grade), Danna Lindberg and Jacob Dominguez (fourth grade), Arabelly Castillo (third grade), Benito Warren and Juan Santos (second grade), Dalia Ruvalcaba (first grade), and Alexander Beltran (kindergarten).
Alexander Eagle, mascot and protector of the flock, joins the entire Beaver Dam school community in giving a full two-feather salute to these fine students for standing out as super stars for the month of April!
