Joy Eastwood to Serve as Interim City Clerk

Starting April 25, 2015, Joy Eastwood will serve as the interim city clerk.  Eastwood accepted the interim position when Cherry Lawson accepted a position in another organization.

Mayor Allan Litman stated, “I want to thank Cherry for the work that she has done for this organization.  I appreciate her efforts.” In looking to the future, the Mayor indicated that he has worked with Eastwood for several years and has been very impressed by her. “Her attention to detail and thoroughness make her the ideal person to fill this interim position.”

“Joy worked for the Mayor and Council for many years,” noted City Manager Andy Barton. “As a result, she understands what it takes to support them. I have full confidence in Joy’s ability to fill this interim position.”MLN-Eastwoodapr2-15

When asked about how she feels about serving as the interim city clerk, Eastwood stated, “I am grateful to be able to serve the Mayor and City Council as interim city clerk.  I enjoy working with our local elected officials and I look forward to even more opportunity to work with the public. My door is always open.”
