Everyone deserves to be remembered and you can help make this possible. Transcribing and entering information from scanned documents; birth and death records, census, military and many other records makes this possible. This is known as indexing. Indexing makes records searchable online. FamilySearch indexing is a volunteer-based effort to index billions of records from around the world. Many of these records have never before been readily accessible. Together, we can help people from around the world find and trace their ancestry for free.

No special skills or time commitments are required. This is a great activity for anyone age 8 to 80+ and you can do it on your home computer or at the Mesquite Family Search Center located on the South side of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building, 100 North Arrowhead Lane. Documents in English, Spanish, Italian, and many other languages need to be indexed. The choice is yours.

You are invited to come in and let our trained volunteers help with your family history research. We also offer many free, hands-on classes on a variety of genealogy topics.
