The City of Mesquite is seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Architectural Review Committee. The committee is a standing committee and members are appointed by the City Council. The charge of the committee is to evaluate building and site designs of projects proposed in the Downtown and in the Mesquite Technology and Commerce Center. This citizen review committee works with City staff to implement the Design Guidelines adopted by the City Council for these areas. The committee meets on an “as-needed” basis, when applications for development permits have been submitted—usually once a month.

If you are interested in volunteering your time, please complete a Public Service Application form and return it to the City Clerk’s office. The form is available on the City’s website http://www.mesquitenv.gov/committees or you may contact Richard Secrist in the Development Services Department at (702) 346-2835. The application deadline for this recruitment cycle is April 15, 2015.
