Except for one inning, the fourth, the Bulldogs were shut down by TECH pitcher Logan Campbell in a 12-2 loss Monday afternoon in the Dawgs’ pound. Campbell struck out seven of the first nine batters he faced in the first three innings while his teammates put up four runs to take a 4-0 lead. The Roadrunners added three more runs in the fourth before reliever Marcello Lara stopped the bleeding.

The Dawgs woke up in the bottom of the fourth scoring two runs on a walk, an RBI single by Koby Smothers and a following single by Cade Anderson. The TECH squad added five more runs in the top of the fifth and eventual last inning to win easily 12-2.

The Bulldogs have lost 14 straight and hope to reverse their fortunes against Chaparral on Wednesday, April 15 and Moapa Valley on Friday, April 17. Check the MLN website for those scores.
