Moapa Valley Days this weekend

The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce and the community are coming together this weekend in Overton, bringing a wide array of fun and vendors.

In conjunction with the Moapa Valley Wide Yard Sale event, the small town is sure to be flooding with people from all across Southern Nevada.

It all kicks off on Friday, March 13 with the yard sales. All of the participating sales can be found at http://moapavalleychamber.com/ and is sponsored by the Moapa Valley Rotary. All information for the events this weekend can also be found at that website.

The Moapa Valley Art Guild Annual Spring Show kicks off the rest of the festivities Friday at OHSHACS, 3011 North Moapa Valley Blvd in Logandale from Noon to 6 p.m.

From 4:30-6:30 p.m. The Buffalo Soldiers will be demonstrating and talking about the history of the Buffalo Soldiers at the parking lot of the Wild Horse Gallery, 289 S. Moapa Valley Blvd, Overton. From 6:30-8:30 p.m. there will be an evening of Cowboy Poetry also in the parking lot of the Wild Horse Gallery

At 7 p.m. the “Run for your Life-5k Zombie Run-MVHS Jag Career Association Event” kicks off at the Clark County Fairgrounds. Starts at 7 pm or ‘dusk’ The Moapa Valley High School JAG Career Association is sponsoring the event. According to their website, “JAG focuses on pathfinding and preparing young people for the workplace, college, and/or military.  JAG students are raising awareness for “Staying Undead” The Nevada “Zero Teen Fatalities” Safe Driving Campaign and raising money for service projects and opportunities for JAG Students.”

On Saturday, March 14, the fun continues with the yard sales and events in Downtown Overton including an Automotive Swap Meet and the Classic Car Cruise in at Overton Park, beginning at 7 a.m. There will also be a ZUMBA® FITNESS PARTY in conjunction with the Classic Car Cruise In and Automotive Swap Meet beginning at 10 a.m. for 45 minutes.

There will be a Street Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Overton which will provide spectators to visit vendors, enjoy entertainment, the Buffalo Soldiers and more.

At 3 p.m. those who think they can sing can show off for the crowds with some karaoke in the parking lot of the Wild Horse Gallery.
