FIRE LOG:

3/3/15

  • R-31, T-11, R-11, Chief 1, Chief 2, Mesquite Police, LVMPD SAR, and NHP, Responded to the intersection of Pioneer and Grapevine for a vehicle into the pond with entrapment.  Multiple rescues attempted over 20 minute period with no success.  Crews pulled from water due to extreme danger and no chance of success.  Las Vegas Metro Police Dive Team requested to respond and performed recovery of deceased from approximately 15 feet of water.  2 persons evaluated at the scene by Paramedics for mild hypothermia and refused transport to hospital.

  • B Shift performed Fire Drill at the Charles Hughes Middle School.

3/7/15

  • R-11, and Battalion 3 Responded to Scenic Bvld and Spring Rain Street in Scenic, AZ to assist the Beaver Dam Fire District with a single vehicle rollover. Arrived to find 2 males ejected, one deceased and one with extremely critical injuries.  Male still in vehicle with minor injuries and transported by Beaver Dam Fire.  Mesquite Fire Paramedics treated critical patient and assisted Mercy Air 11 loading patient for transport to UMC Trauma in Las Vegas.
  • E-11 responded to Mesquite Blvd and Grapevine for a reported fuel spill. Found a 40’ x 5’ area of fuel in the westbound travel lane and cleaned up area and mitigated fire danger.  Unable to locate source of the fuel spill

Non Transports include: Patient refusals, lift assists, patient deceased at scene, no patient found, no incident found, Incidents handled by other agencies.
