Discounted Advanced Sale Carnival Ride Tickets

A limited number of advance sale tickets are available NOW during open hours at the Department of Athletics & Leisure Services Administrative Offices (Recreation Center) located at 100 W. Old Mill Road.   Advance sale tickets will be on sale until 5 p.m., on Thursday, April 30, or until sold out.

ADVANCE SALES TICKETS ARE CASH ONLY.

Save Money by purchasing the advance sale unlimited ride ticket. Each ticket is good for unlimited rides, for one person, one day, and any day of the event. The bearers simply takes the advanced sales ticket purchased at the Recreation Center, and then take the advance ticket to the carnival ticket box office and exchange it for one Armband. This price discount will not be available if you buy your arm band ticket at the carnival office. All house & Safety rules apply.

A limited number of Tickets are on Sale until 5 p.m. April 30, 2015. Please get your advance sales tickets while supplies last.

Mesquite Days 2015

Davis Amusement Cascadia is the carnival coming to town for the 30th Anniversary of Mesquite Days 2015 event. The Davis family will bring an exciting lineup of rides, fun games, and tasty food. There will be something for the entire family. Enjoy the carousel, the 82 foot tall Gondola Ferris Wheel and many more exciting rides. Be sure to see the lights on the Ferris Wheel at night. It is a spectacular event. Mesquite Days will be from April 30 – May 3, 2015. Nicholas Montoya, organizer of Mesquite Days, announced that the four-day carnival will be held on the Mesquite Recreation Center West Park at 100 West Old Mill, Mesquite.

Vendor Booth and Parade Applications are available. These can be picked up in person at the Recreation Center, and are available on the City website as well.

The Department is coordinating other activities and programs with the historical society and various committees for the 4 day event and is looking forward to another great celebration.

 

Mesquite Days Founders Forum

On Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, in the City Council Chambers, The Virgin Valley Historical Society will be holding a Founder’s Forum about the days and events of the building of the highway through the Gorge.  There will be people on the panel who were actually workers or had family members who were workers in the building of the Road.
The Founder’s Forum is hosted by The Virgin Valley Historical Society as an opportunity to find out about the vibrant and interesting history of the area. Mesquite Days Zumbathon

The Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services-Senior Division is hosting Mesquite Day’s third annual ZUMBATHON®.  This event will be held at the Mesquite Recreation Center Field (100 W. Old Mill Road) on Thursday, April 30, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Join the Zumbathon® to build stronger communities as a team of local Zumba Instructors lead participants in 1.5 hours of Latin and International rhythms to keep everyone sweating and having fun.  No experience is necessary to participate in the Zumbathon®. This is a family-friendly event open to the public and welcomes all members of the community.

Five days of fun in the sun begins Wednesday, April 29, 2015 as Mesquite Days 2015 kicks off its annual event.  Mesquite Days features a carnival, parade, vendor, exhibitors and entertainment.

Come join us and have a great night of fun and meeting new people.  Meet and Greet the Mesquite/Overton Zumba® Fitness Instructors and enjoy the music. Mayor’s Breakfast

The annual Mayor’s Pancake Breakfast will once again be held at Family Heritage Park, 100 N. Arrowhead Lane from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

The Mayor, Al Litman, and several other members of the Mesquite City Council will be on hand to serve up a delicious breakfast before the day’s parade at 10 a.m.

The breakfast is sponsored by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and is free to enjoy, although donations are welcomed to offset the costs.

 

Mesquite Days Parade 2015

Gather the entire family and come join the fun and entertainment on May 2, 2015 and be a part of the excitement of the Annual Mesquite Days Parade.

Saturday Morning at 10 a.m. get your spot early along the parade route as traffic will be diverted off of the boulevard from Woodbury to Sandhill at 9:45 a.m. Bring your lawn chairs and some refreshments to stay hydrated and watch and enjoy the parade. The parade will head East on Mesquite Blvd on the south side lanes (City Hall side) of the street. Remember that the City has plenty for all to do. Attend the carnival and the vendor booths will be opening and ready for business. Immediately after the parade the historical committee will be giving historical tours of the city, starting at the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum.

Just a reminder, please stays off the medians.

 

Mesquite Days Parade Route May 2, 2015 10 a.m.

  • The parade staging area will be in the LDS Chapel Parking lot on 100 North Arrowhead Lane.
  • Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and leave the LDS parking lot turning (Left) South on N. Arrowhead Lane. (Heading towards Mesquite Blvd).
  • Parade then will turn Left (East) onto Mesquite Blvd heading (normal direction of traffic).
  • Parade will be heading east for about 0.5 miles.
  • Parade then will turn Left (North) on N. Willow, ending. Entries can head back to the staging area taking Old Mill Rd back to the LDS chapel on 100 N. Arrowhead.
  • 9:45 a.m. Traffic will be diverted off of Mesquite Boulevard between Woodbury and Sandhill.

 

Mesquite Days Annual BAKE – OFF

Have you got the best CUPCAKES in town?  Then come enter them in The Virgin Valley Historical Society Mesquite Days Annual Bake-off! There will be three divisions by age 7-13 year olds, 13-18 year olds and 18+.

Applications for all divisions can be picked up at The Virgin Valley Heritage Museum and the local schools. Applications need to be returned to the Museum by Thursday, April 30 at 3 p.m.

Then on Friday, May 1 at 6 p.m., at the West side of The Recreation Center, bring your CUPCAKES to be judged. FLY WILLIE

FLY WILLIE is the premier of a hilarious new comedy, co-produced by Virgin Valley Theatre Group and 2 Nielsens Productions. This play was developed in a series of summer workshops sponsored by the VVTG.  The author, Dan Nielsen, has brought his 35 years of theatrical talents and know-how to our local actors. Dan started his career as a young Mouseketeer at Disneyland performing daily at the amusement park and on tour. His talents brought him to the Las Vegas where he has performed as lead on many of its illustrious stages.  As a choreographer and show director, Dan has won awards for his staging and choreography.

Join the cast of FLY WILLIE on May 1 & 2 at 7 p.m. for a zany journey into the heights of laughter.
