Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Feb. 15 – 21, 2015.

Feb. 15:

Threatening: An officer responded to a Garnet Ln residence reference a threatening report. The female victim received several threatening messages from her boyfriend. An officer’s report was completed, and the investigation continues.

Battery on Person: Officers responded to a report of an argument in progress on Riverside Rd. One adult female was cited for simple battery and released.

Feb. 16:

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers conducted a traffic stop at Hillside Dr & N Sandhill Blvd for a registration violation. Drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. The adult male driver was issued a citation and released with a court date.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd residence reference property damage to a parked vehicle. A report was taken.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Police responded to a non-injury traffic accident at W Mesquite Blvd & W Falcon Ridge Pkwy. A report was taken and one adult male was issued a citation and released with a court date.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident on N Sandhill Blvd. A report was taken and a citation was issued to a male driver.

Agency Assistance: Officers responded to I-15 NB and assisted Nevada Highway Patrol Officers with a person with a Felony warrant.

Feb. 17:

Trespassing: Officers responded to a Riverside Rd apartment complex reference a trespassed male. Officers made contact the male; he was cited and released with a court date.

Feb. 18:

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Pulsipher Ln with negative injuries.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to the Mesquite Recreation Center on W Old Mill Rd on a report of property damage.  Officer obtained photos and a report was filed.

Theft F/Person: Officer responded to a Sagedell Rd residence on a reported theft.  Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the victim and a report was taken.

Feb. 19:

Theft: Officers were called to W Pioneer Blvd to investigate recent thefts by an employee that resulted in one arrest.

Theft: Officer responded to the recreation center on W Old Mill Rd on a reported theft. Statements were obtained and a report taken.

Intoxicated Person: Officers were dispatched to a E Pioneer Blvd casino, reference a intoxicated male. The male was arrested for trespassing.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a W Hafen Ln residence on a broken window caused by kids throwing rocks. The parents met with victim and agreed to purchase a new window.

TPO Violation: Officer served court paperwork at a Madrigal Dr residence. One adult male was arrested for violation of protective order.

Lost Property: Officers responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr apartment complex reference a stolen license plate. A report was taken, the plate was entered into NCIC as stolen, and attempts to locate the missing plate are ongoing.

Feb. 20:

Wanted Person: An officer conducted a traffic stop at Mesa Blvd & El Dorado Rd for an equipment violation. The adult male driver had outstanding warrants out of Las Vegas, and was arrested on the warrants.

Theft F/Person: Officer responded to a Moss Dr residence on a report of theft and credit card fraud. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

Identity Theft: An officer was dispatched to the front lobby of the Mesquite Police Department, to report identity theft. The victim was provided an event number as requested by his credit card company.

Battery on Person: Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business on a report of battery.  Officer obtained a verbal statement from the victim and a report was taken.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver on Second South St. One adult male was arrested for DUI based on investigation.

Feb. 21:

Driving Under the Influence: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at W Pioneer Blvd & N Grapevine Rd. The adult male driver was found to be impaired, and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Stolen Vehicle: Officers responded to a Pulsipher Ln residence reference a stolen vehicle.

Lost Property: Mesquite Officer responded to a N Sandhill Blvd business reference lost property. Mesquite Officer gathered information for an investigation.

Noise Disturbance: Officers responded to a Moonlight Terrace Run residence reference an animal noise complaint. An adult
female was issued a citation for barking dogs, and an officer’s report was completed.

Minor Gambling: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference minor gambling. An adult male under the age of 21 was issued a citation for minor gambling, and released with a court date.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference property damage. The adult male suspect fled the area on foot, but was later located. The male was arrested for property damage.
