Mesquite Fire & Rescue submits the following call statistics for the week of 1/26/15 through 2/1/2015:

Total Calls For Service: 51*
911 Transports: 24
Non Transports: 13
Inter-facility Transports: 10
Fire Related Incidents: 4

1/27/15

  • B- Shift conducted Shelter In Place Drill at Virgin Valley Elementary School.

1/28/15

  • E-11, R-31 Responded to an odor of smoke in a residence on Mesa Blvd. Extensive investigation to include thermal imaging and 4 gas monitoring was performed.  Odor believed to be from fridge.  Occupants advised they would unplug and call repair person.

1/30/15

  • E-11, T-31, R-11 Responded to Virgin Valley High School for an active smoke detector in an occupied school. Arrived to find school evacuated with no visible smoke or fire.  Apparent dust problem in the wood shop had activated smoke alarm.  System reset and students allowed back to school.

Non Transports include: Patient refusals, lift assists, patient deceased at scene, no patient found, no incident found, Incidents handled by other agencies.

*Call totals do not always add up to the Total Calls For Service due to multiple patients/incident types at a single incident.
