Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice James W. Hardesty was a keynote speaker at the event.

“The seminar provided valuable continuing legal education and was highlighted by a presentation by Chief Justice Hardesty,” said Ryan Toone, Mesquite Judge and host at the seminar. “Chief Justice Hardesty provided helpful training regarding the newly established Court of Appeals that was approved by voters last November.”

In addition to legal training, many of the judges visited landmarks in the Virgin Valley area, including Whitney Pockets, the Virgin Valley Historical Museum, and the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery.

Toone expressed thanks to the community members who assisted the conference attendees, as well as the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and area businesses for providing maps and community information.

The Nevada Judges of Limited Jurisdiction is an association of justice court and municipal court judges throughout the state.
