The Green Bay Packers announced Tuesday that former Bulldog football player Jerry Montgomery has been hired as a defensive quality control assistant. Montgomery has had a meteoric rise as a defensive line coach in the college ranks. Montgomery was co-defensive coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners and was named recruiter of the year in the Big 12.

Montgomery was named Nevada football player of the year in 1997 while playing for the Dawgs.
