The Bulldogs knew they had a tough test Wednesday night against second place Chaparral High School in Las Vegas. The Bulldogs stayed with the Cowboys the whole game but could not stop the defensive minded Chaparral squad losing 54-49. Keegan Biasi led the Dawgs with 10 points and six rebounds followed by Zach Barnum with 8 points and 7 each from Tony Urias and Cody Jones.

The Dawgs trailed 32-27 at the half but matched the Cowboys in the second half 22-22. The loss dropped the Dawgs to 7-5 in league play with two games remaining. The Dawgs will host 12-0 Desert Pines on Tuesday night February 10 before finishing the regular season against Boulder City on Thursday February 12. The Eagles game could be critical for the Bulldogs, in the battle for a playoff spot, if the Boulder City squad upsets Chaparral on Tuesday. The Eagles trail the Bulldogs by two games.
