Award-winning local photographer David Boyarski offers a series of three workshops on digital photography, February 5, 12, and 19 at the Mesquite Fine Arts Center classroom. Dave is a relative newcomer to the art of photography, but has mastered critical techniques that he will share with his students so that they can enjoy better results with their photography.MLN-Classfeb5-15

The series of three, one-hour classes is offered free of charge by Boyarski as his contribution to art education for the community, under sponsorship of Virgin Valley Artists Association.  In these classes he will touch on points of camera selection and operation as well as tips for selecting subjects, composition, and digital photo management. Advance registration for the class is required, and limited to 15 students. Signup is available at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery. Students bring their own digital camera device to the class.

David has already established himself on the Mesquite arts scene.  He was the featured speaker for the October 2014 Brown Bag Lecture at the Gallery, and will present another program in April, 2015. As a new member of Virgin Valley Artists Association, he won an award for his brilliant photo of a hot air balloon in their January exhibition.  He printed that digital photo on metal, creating an image of extraordinary clarity and color.

The Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 10a-4pm, with class signup sheets available at the front desk. Boyarski’s classes will meet Thursdays at 1 p.m. in the art classroom adjacent to the gallery at 15 West Mesquite Blvd. Call 702-346-1338 for information.
