Police investigate home invasion over weekend

On Saturday, January 24, Mesquite police officers were dispatched to a local residence, reference a home invasion. The adult female victim informed officers that three unknown black males entered her residence through an unlocked rear sliding glass door. The men carried firearms and wore long sleeve clothing; latex gloves, and had on bandanas to cover their faces. The female and the two other family members who were home at the time were bound with duct tape. The three men searched the home, stole items which included illegal narcotics and cash and then the three offenders fled the scene.

The female adult victim was able to free herself and run to the neighbor’s home where she called police. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the offenders. Mesquite Police detectives responded to the scene and discovered narcotics were being grown inside the residence.
